Jumping!

On Monday, we took bus to Max Air Trampoline Park with classmates after class. The park is indoor but a very big trampoline jumping space.

We began with jumping individually. Then we were divided into two groups and played games. We wanted to see which group was better for jumping. So it was really the team work. By doing so, we know each other more and built a deeper trust than before.

Especially I played on the swing from high position. This was the first time I played this. It was a big challenge, but I enjoyed the fun and made it. Sometimes, if you believed, you could do it. This activity was well organized thanks to our teacher. We made photos and videos for so good memory. We expect to have more similar activities.

let us enjoy Theatre

On October 1^st, 1928, Tennessee Theatre had its first opening for public in Knoxville downtown. It was designed by Chicago architects Graven and Mayger with Spanish-Moorish style interior. The internal style incorporates French-style chandeliers, Italian terrazzo flooring in the Grand Lobby, and Asian influences in the carpet and drapery. Today’s Theatre provides us the classical music, vintage films, dance, Broadway, and stellar performances…

On Monday, we watched a concert there with our classmates in the afternoon, which was organized by our English teacher as an outreach activity. The manager of theatre told that there would be another free concert from children symphony orchestra in that evening. It is a very good opportunity to bring our 1.5 years old son and my parents to experience those events. They enjoyed a lot of the performance and the internal style. The performance is quite impressive from different children symphony orchestra.

I do think it is not an easy task to achieve the consistent and accurate performance by so many children. I admire them and hope my son would learn from them.

Unforgettable experience

Last week, i and my roommates went to the Great Smoky Mountain Skiing. We drove about one hour. When we reached the top of the mountain is 7 in the evening, we looked at the White Mountains and ski people. We are very excited. We were a little scared because we didn't have the experience of skiing, but we still tried. The first time we slipped from the top of the mountain, we fell so many times. but we didn't give up. slowly we learned how to ski. we got fun too.

Sally and Uyangaa are my good friends. We have lunch always together. Sometimes, we do homework together after classes. We are from different country. Sally comes from Japan and Uyangaa is from Mongolia. But we understand each other very well. So we decided to go shopping in Tanger outlet on Saturday. Sally is good at making up. I am thankful for her good advice on cosmetics. After shopping, we had lunch together in a Japanese restaurant named Little Tokyo. This restaurant is recommended by Uyangaa. One could not imagine there were so many people waiting there for seats even if it was 3pm for lunch. How good the restaurant is!! We have waited for 20 minutes to get the seats. Sally told the dishes were different from the typical Japanese one. Any food from abroad should be adjusted to adapt the local people or most people. We like all the food there. Together with good friends, what a wonderful and joyful day!!!

Cheongsam refers to the modern Chinese women's clothing.  cheongsam is the republic of China Shanghai school uniform.Shanghai female students were the first user.

From Shanghai to the whole country, it becomes the main costume of Chinese women, and now it is one of the symbols of Shanghai.

But now the cheongsam become a bit different. It becomes more fashionable.

BURKINA FASO

The BURKINA FASO is location in west Africa, and is a landlocked country. It is again called the country of the integral Men. Burkina Faso is not only a country that is visited,but it is also a country to discover to meet great people. The population of Burkina Faso is welcoming,warm and great tolerance. It is a people with multiple ethnic, living in perfect harmony.This country is rich of its culture, of its music, of its craft and strong of its traditions. Despite the the difficult living conditions. The burkinabes are always smiling and happy to live.

If you have important friends, they will play an important role in your life. Everyone will meet different people. Some people are just a passer by in your life. But some people will become you important people .

If you meet such a person, you should know how to cherish themIn.in the future work or study. if we have important friends to accompany, they will make it easier for you to solve problems. important friends look like our family or brother.they will let us not lonely. a friend is like a beacon in the dark for you light up the road. so i think friends are important.

    It's me Uyangaa Uuganbayar. Today I would like to talk about my country's food culture. My country has different food culture.

     For example: Korea, Chinese,and  Japanese eat most of the veggies but my country usually eat meat. We like to eat beef, sheep meat, goat meat, camel meat, and horse meat. We mostly eat horse meat in winter time. Also people who lives in the dessert eat camel meat mostly. Let me show some of foods photo.

culture shock

I have been here in USA for 5 months. Most time I am fine, but sometimes I miss Germany so strongly that I do not expect. I miss German food that are always healthy and delicious. I cannot understand why Americans eat so many fast foods even without any vegetables! I miss the public transportation in Germany: I can take U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and Bus to go everywhere, but here in US, without car I can not go to anywhere. If my husband has no time to drive me, I can not come to class even. Yes, I know you want to say in big city you have good public transportation. I was in New York and Washington D.C. where does not have the elevator to subway from streets. How can I deal with the stroller jumping in stairs? Everyone is friendly and smile written on their face, but nobody helps me take my stroller to the subway carriage.  More crazy thing exists when seeing a doctor if you have not good insurance coverage, you could not afford even a little sick. Actually one-month salary is maybe not enough for your emergency visit if necessary. Oh, I think America is a very rich country! Why I am here so sad, I am hardworking, but still I feel a lot of pressure. i am so sorry, i talk about it... 😢😢maybe I have culture shock and am in rejection stage. I hope I love here more once I know USA more.

Hello. I'm Li Ming Wei. Today is a holiday for our most important China Spring Festival. Then I give everybody to tell the origin of Chinese Spring Festival and we often do what.About the origin of the Spring Festival have been many, including several representative said, Spring Festival originated from the Greek Festival, originated from the witchcraft ceremony that originated from Halloween said, one of the most widely accepted view is Chinese new year by the rise period.One day more than 2000 years BC, the Emperor Shun, led his men, worship heaven and earth. Since then, people will regard this day as the beginning of the year. It is said that this is the origin of the lunar new year, later called the Spring Festival.

According to Chinese calendar, tomorrow is Chinese new year（spring festival）.it is the most important festival in China comparable to Christmas in USA. 2017 would be the year of rooster.I would like to introduce the origins and customs of this important moment.

The festival is centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Traditionally, the festival was a time to honor ancestors. According to legend, in ancient times, there is a head like a lion, and a  horny monster called "years". It stays in the mountains almost the whole year, but every turning point of the year, "years" searches food by harming the crops, people and animals. But it fears red color, fire, does not like clean environment. so the beginning and ending of the year, people clean their house, paste red festival couplets onto the door, play firecrackers, hang red lights, the "years" was scared to escape. so people play drums to celebrate, and congratulate each other, this is the origin of "New Year". Chinese New Year is celebrated in countries and territories with significant Chinese populations, including Mainland China, Hong Kong (officially as Lunar New Year), Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, etc.

in China, regional customs to celebrate the New Year are quite different. The evening preceding New Year's Day is an occasion for families to get together for the annual reunion dinner. It is also traditional for every family to thoroughly clean the house to sweep away any bad luck and to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red color paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of "good luck" or "happiness", "wealth", and "longevity". Other activities include lighting firecrackers, exchanging gifts and giving money in red paper envelopes. People cook lots of kinds of food for new year, but dumplings is the most popular in the meals for the celebration of the festival.
I expect very much tomorrow's coming, especially the reunion dinner.
