How to prevent become a too strong guy?
First thing is do not eat too many protein powder. The power, that you need everyday, come from the food, which is you eat everyday, enough.
Second thing is do not lift too heavy weights. Reducing the weights and increasing times of lifting is good way to keep your body size.
Final, to find some friends working out together would be better. I am sure that you will fall in love with working out, if you can meet new friends during working out. 
In conclusion, just do it!
