Meditation is a state of thoughtless
awareness. It is a state of deep peace that occur when the mind is calm and
silent yet completely alert.
Meditation has been practiced since ancient time in many
countries, as part of their religious traditions and beliefs. But now people
are practicing it to ease many health and mental problems. Even some private
schools are started to implementing it in their schools now. Many researches have
done on meditation and it shows many positive results and benefits so it is
getting popular now. It is a great stress reduction so people are using it for
relaxation so that they can ease depression and anxiety from their life. It gives
them peace and satisfaction, which can lead to more positive emotions. Because of the meditation, they can built more stronger
focus and concentration, which helps them to lessen distraction and increase
productivity. It can build better memory and they can absorb new facts easily.
Eventually it slows down the normal aging process. Research on meditation has
also shown that empathy, love, patience, compassion are higher in those who
practice meditation regularly.
There are many different ways and types of meditation. The
one of the most well known, popular type of meditation is mindfulness.
